NSR2021 will be a virtual event - free for all Nordic lion and leo members!

With the decisions from NSR Council Chairperson Board and NSR Operating Committee in early October, the NSR2021 has been transformed to the virtual event. Currently, detailed replanning is in progress, and more updates will provided as soon as possible.

All paid registrations will be refunded. We will contact each registrant personally to agree refund procedure.

For the virtual event, the host committee targets to provide as much as possible from the originally planned event program. At least Key note speaker on theme, theme workshop and lions workshops, and of course NSR Council meeting.

Glimmer of the sun on clean waters in all of our Nordic countries and areas is something that we are accustomed to see on sunny summer days. Water and nature have always played a crucial role in the survival of our people, and now more than ever, we need to take action to ensure sustainability of our environment for our children, grandchildren and generations to come.

We are Lions, we roar, and we serve! Now, it is time to roar on nature and sustainable development also in the scope of Nordic Lions cooperation. Therefore, we are excited to invite and warmly welcome you to Helsinki in January 2021 for the next NSR event.

The kindness of Lions and Leos has multiplied across borders, oceans, and continents. We now have an opportunity to truly change our world. That’s why we’re uniting our global service around five areas of need. These Global Causes present significant challenges to humanity, and we believe it’s our turn to meet them.

We serve to prevent avoidable blindness and improve quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired.

We serve to sustainably protect and restore our environment to improve the well-being of all communities.

We serve to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve quality of life for those diagnosed.

We serve to ensure all community members have access to nutritious foods.

We serve to help those affected by childhood cancer survive and thrive.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030.
